Winchester Foundation for Educational Excellence: http://www.wfee.org WFEE provides private money to fund initiatives for the Winchester Public Schools that are beyond the reach of public funds. Their site includes information on grants, fundraising, events, and teacher tributes.
Math Fact Cafe: http://www.mathfactcafe.com This site provides online math fact practice and allows you to create custom printable math worksheets
SmartMCAS Generator: http://cfweb3.smartedu.net/smartmcas A web-based tool to create "practice exams" for the MCAS, complete with an answer key. Select "Winchester Public Schools" from the dropdown, and enter our district's code number as the password. If you don't know the password, send an email to web [at] lincolnspa.org with your name and your child's name and teacher.
Study Island: http://www.studyisland.com A math and English language arts program to introduce and reinforce grade-level-appropriate concepts. Study Island keeps track of the lessons your child has completed, which problems they got correct, and the problems they had difficulty with. When available to your child, their teacher will give them a personal username and password.
Everyday Mathematics: http://everydaymath.uchicago.edu The publishers site for the math curriculum used at Lincoln. It has a helpful parents section that includes an explanation of the program, glossary of terms, sample games, resources and more
Wilson Fundations: http://www.fundations.com/overview.asp The publishers site for the reading curriculum used at Lincoln. Provides a useful overview of the different skills taught at each level. Also, shows video example of lessons and activities.
Handwriting Without Tears: http://www.hwtears.com/parents/parentextras The publishers site for the handwriting curriculum used in the primary grades. Includes curriculum overview and letter formation charts
